Morishita Studio (Koto-ku, Tokyo Morishita 3-5-6)
[Event Information] Our current Visiting Fellow, JK Anicoche, Artistic Director of the Manila-based performance company Sipat Lawin Ensemble, will hold shared participatory performance sessions and a public talk event titled "Touch Play" on Thursday, 27 October at Morishita Studio in Tokyo.
There will be eight slots for the one-to-one shared participatory performance sessions during the day (10:30, 11:30, 12:30, 13:30, 14:30, 15:30, 16:30, 17:30) and reservations for one person will be accepted for each slot, which will be approximately thirty minutes long.
There will be no fixed price tickets; instead, a blank ticket system will be employed as a social experiment in which participants are asked to determine the value of the exchange based on their perceived value (ie. the importance) of it, while also considering their own economic capacity, and write the amount on their tickets before paying the amount. You may leave a message for the artist if you'd like.
NOTE: Please be aware that the main theme of these one-to-one shared participatory performance sessions is communication through physical touch and will include a massage given to the participant by the artist. If you happen to feel unwell on the day of the performance session, please refrain from participating in it.
JK's public talk will take place later on the same day from 19:00 till 20:30 (Free of charge / Reservations required).
